Giddy Up Cowboy

These are Alex's new red cowboy boots that we bought when Jack was visiting. They both got the same pair of boots. When I ask Alex to get his shoes from the closet he always comes back with his red boots. He loves wearing them but they are just a little too big for his little feet as you can see in this picture they are always coming off.

This is just after we returned from Canada. Boy oh boy did Alex miss his daddy and his doggy.

Barton Springs with Jack

Jack and Maifa came all the way from China (via Toronto Island) to visit us in Austin. We felt so lucky that they took time out of their busy schedules to come play with us down in Texas. On their first day here we took the train in Zilker Park and had lots of fun playing with the percussion instruments by the playstructure. We couldn't make their trip complete without a trip to Chuy's for lunch-yum-yum. We had so much fun despite the fact that Alex was getting new molars in and was in a lot of pain.

Alex loves his cousin Liam so much. They spent lots of time together this summer while we were in Canada. Liam would call us every morning to see what we were up to. Although they are almost 5 years apart in age they managed to play together very well!!

At the Pool with Ava

While in Canada we were lucky enough to spend lots of time with Alex's cousin Ava. She turned one in June and is so much fun. We took her to our favorite hang out-Doidge Park. She loved the water almost as much as Alex does. Granny Annie came with us too, as it is very hard to wheel two strollers down the big hill. I love this picture of my mom on the swing!!

Go Wild-African Lion Safari

Granny Annie, Auntie Sarah, Liam, Alex and I took a road trip to Hamilton's African Lion Safari. There you can drive your car through and see lions, monkeys, zebras, giraffe, and so much more. Both Liam and Alex got to take a turn at driving Sarah's new company car. We even got to have monkeys jump on our car and have a lion walk right in front of us!! Thanks Sarah for a great day.
