The Girls go to Dallas

Since Granny Annie has been here so many times there is not much around these parts that she hasn't seen or done yet. I decided that we needed to venture further, so we ended up in Dallas and thanks to Auntie Dee we got an awesome hotel right downtown for next to nothing. We left early Monday morning and got stuck in major traffic around Waco area which extended our trip by about 3 hours which was not very much fun with a broken DVD player. Sarah was in the backseat and she had to do all the Alex entertaining. We made it to Dallas finally and had a nice Mexican lunch right downtown and then headed to the Texas Schoolbook Depository to see the museum dedicated to JFK's assination. Needless to say it was very emotional being able to stand in the very place that Lee Harvey Oswald shot the fatal shots-too emotional for Sarah who had to leave. As emotional as it was it was very interesting!! We headed back to the hotel for an early night. The next (and final ) day we went shopping at some of Dallas' very high end malls-too rich for our poor pocketbooks but fun to visit and see.
